MLC PROPERTIES WINTER NEWS LETTER

Hello All,

I hope this finds you well.

Unfortunately winter is on its way and we need to go over a few things. If your building has porches, everything must be cleared off (including bikes) by November 16th. We will throw out whatever is left. All A/C units (not Glenwood) must be removed from all windows. The heat is on in all the buildings. Please keep an eye on your radiators.(some of you have forced heat) If you see a leak, please call the office.

Let’s talk about the heat. We all know what is going on with energy costs so we need your cooperation. If your apartment has a draft from the windows, please put up plastic. The city/county heat temperatures are as follows. 68 degrees from 8:30am-10:30pm and 66 degrees from 10:30pm-8:30am. Obviously we will keep your apartment warmer than that, but it may not be what you’re used to. Only you know your apartment, all units are different, we may need your help to winterize your unit. For those of you who pay for their own heat, you may want to take the above under consideration.

Please make sure you change the batteries in your smoke/Co2 detectors, (not Glenwood) that all doors and gates are closed behind you and to pick up anything you see in the hallways. All garbage must be thrown in the dumpsters in the back of your building to prevent rodents.

Please, do NOT let anyone in your building that you do not know. I do not care what they tell you. If they do not have a key or the person they are visiting does not answer, DO NOT LET THEM IN!

Flossmoor people, lets support the stores in your building. We have a great restaurant, women’s clothes store, gift shop (great for the holidays), a great attorney, All State Insurance, antique store, a Doctor, Coldwell Banker and even a company to clean your apartment for the holidays. Go on in there and tell them Marty sent you! (Not sure what that will do, but it sounds good ?)

Remember, the rent is due on the 1st and is late on the 5th. You are all subject to late fees. Our costs as you know are much higher in the winter, therefore, we must have the rent on time to avoid those late fees and possible eviction.

We do have a few vacancies in your building (not Glenwood). We will offer you ONE MONTH FREE RENT if you bring us someone who becomes a tenant. ONE MONTH FREE! This offer is only good until the end of the year and where apartments are available. REMEMBER, THIS IS YOUR HOME!
